SportsEngine Registration: Prosper Youth Sports

2020 Fall Youth Boys Lacrosse

Welcome to the Lacrosse Youth Registration with Prosper Youth Sports!

Our mission statement: Prosper Youth Lacrosse is a volunteer based, non-profit recreation lacrosse club serving Prosper ISD students (and the surrounding communities without a program) for kindergarten through 8th grade. Our purpose is to grow the sport of lacrosse by giving any child the opportunity to play regardless of their skill level. We will provide opportunities that will increase the skill level of all our players ranging from beginners to the seasoned player by continuously improving and enhancing our coaching standards. Our goals are to advance the great game of lacrosse within the Prosper area have fun!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation and submit payment. Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from Prosper Youth Sports.

This is the registration for Youth Boys (Kinder - 8th) Fall lacrosse. You can access the youth girls registration here.

The youth boys will practice on Thursday evenings starting September 3. Specific times for each grade level will be shared once we see the total numbers registered, but we'll most likely have K-4 at 6 p.m. and 5-8 at 7 p.m. Practices will be held at Eagles Field, which is the grass field behind Rucker Elementary. We also encourage each player to practice at least one hour on the wall each week. We will share details at the first practice for those not sure what practicing on a wall entails.

We plan to play several games against area teams as well as participate in the Pink Out tournament on October 24 and 25. If Covid derails youth sports like the Spring, we have a plan in place to move practices online and continuing working on stick skills and developing our players. Just as we did this past Spring and Summer, we will adapt and continue moving forward.

We are also working on a Covid plan for practices and games. We will be sharing it in the next few weeks. The key is keeping our athletes as safe as possible. This will include wearing masks before/after practices, social distancing where possible, including the parents, etc.

I'd also like to share that one of our key initiatives is to continue lowering the cost to play. We were able to significantly lower the fees for the Fall compared to last year. And we encourage anyone with extra gear that is no longer to consider passing it along to incoming players. I'd be happy to collect/store it. Every little bit helps. Also, check out the cleat exchange that PYSA just started. It's a simple service. Share cleats your kids have outgrown, setup a porch pickup for those that could use them.

We appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for all for making Prosper Lacrosse continue to grow!
